It's called shared-responsibility. Just as much as people, often desperate, are responsible for their own actions, it doesn't mean people like this guy aren't responsible for taking advantage. It's not a dichotomy.

That's no different than a pump and dump, though. It may distract from a more popular thing for a short time, but it's mainly a gimmick. Unless they can expand it so that the features are comparable, I don't see this as being more than just a temporary gig.
