AFAIK C# would be better for a few reasons. Python is good too. I just don't think it has an equivalent of .NET's WebDriver/MSHTML component so to handle JavaScript/AJAX pages you'd need to find some solution of integrating it with an actual web browser. Also, Python threads are pretty bad...
