I just searched this on here after I checked their organic metrics on Ahrefs during topic research and wow. Their organic traffic was estimated at 2M at one point. Going on a little over 1 year and no signs of a return. Looks like a manual link spam penalty

Affiliate marketing, like others have already pointed out, is a great way to make money. The only risks I see are sudden changes in commission rates like Amazon's in 2020. Often, however, there are bunch of other affiliate networks that you could switch to
