I've found that commenting as soon as the video goes up and that comment getting frequent thumbs up gives it a better chance of your comment remaining in the top spot long afterwards.

Out of curiosity, could you theoretically use addmefast or a similar site on someone's videos to get their account banned? I've heard the warnings before about being careful of how much you burst your views and likes from AddMeFast and wondered if someone could 'weaponize' it against you...

Addmefast works just great. Been using it for a while and so long as you're not a dummy with it, you can easily boost your likes/subscribers/views. Edit: Spelling.

This. Simply zooming the video image in with an editor can help dodge the YT bots.

That shadowban checker is often unreliable. If you think you're shadowbanned, post something on Reddit and then log out and check the post. If it isn't there then you've been shadowbanned.

Some Reddit mods are just complete a-holes and will shadowban you for practically anything. You take a risk making a topic for the purpose of posting outside links.

This works very well if you're willing to spend some money for it. I'd say a lot better than Facebook groups, ads, or getting traffic from other sources by far.

This. MAGIX has a lot of similar features/HUD to AVS and if you can learn MAGIX then you'll probably be ready for Sony Vegas or Adobe then.

Sony Vegas. It may seem intimidating at first to a newbie but if you watch a few tutorials and search on youtube for whenever you need help with a certain effect, you'll get the hang of it very quickly. I went from complete newbie to able to cut a moderately professional video in just under a week.

If you're not going for anything fancy, Windows Movie Maker is VERY easy to learn. I used to use it for editing out dead-air scenes, throwing up some text on screen, or having a very simple intro.

It does depend on what your video is about. If it involves gaming or filmmaking then not having your video in 1080 will be a big hit towards you!
