PR still counts, it's a google metric and it was and will stay the only metric that show google's love for a domain, other metrics are just based on separate analysis that why you find many of them DA/PA/TC/CF/AhrefPA/DA ... and we will see other metrics everyday because no one can determine or...

I found that PR (not fake PR) is the only credible indicator you can rely DA/PA can be manipulated easily, just check DA/PA of some spammed domains and you will see what i'm talking about so go for PR even it's not updated months ago but still show that google loved that domain
