I wouldn’t wait too long tbh. A few decent branded/relevant links early on should be fine. Just don’t go crazy with volume on a fresh domain. I’d focus on getting more content indexed first and build links gradually from there.

Exactly. The generic replies are usually the biggest giveaway. Half the time you can tell it’s automated before even checking the account history.
