What I've noticed is that people are doing this mostly in some download niches like android apps

After the link part was done, I posted content and within 4-5 weeks the keywords started showing up on SERP

Have had the same kind of experience in past What I did was - I checked backlinks using both ahref & semrush Created a master list of the toxic backlinks which I got from both the tools Re-analysed the backlinks and disavowed them.

I think theres no solid reason as to why people interlink the same post in a post (if that makes sense) Maybe it's to create a loop of link juice flowing within the same page ..
