I'd much rather invest in sp500 monthly/weekly than day trade, day trading is taking a lot of risks, whereby just investing is the safer way to make money, why do day traders trade? To make a quick buck.

Pretty much more than 60% of all "day traders" are just gamblers. Day trading is like playing SLOTS, just a little smarter with a higher chance of "winning". that is just my humble opinion, I know way too many people who have lost lots of money like this, most of them through forex.
