Yeah, that's good advice, I will definitely be slower from now on.
BTW, my banned Pinterest account got just reinstated within 6 hours after I sent that tearful guilt-accepting email to Pinterest support. Maybe it was a mistake on their side after all... anyway, lesson learned for the next...
From my experience, this won't get you anywhere. Try to bring it slowly to at least 15 pins a day. As for the shared boards, I'm not sure they are as useful these days as they used to be.
