What kind of content management are you using? Using WordPress my pages tend to always get indexed.
They may not rank for awhile but Google seems to index WordPress really well from the beginning.
Have you used it before? I can pick 300 random subjects and it would be a hundred times more knowledgeable than your random 5 experts to cover the same 300 subjects....

The only way I know that I have done well with is creating a website and ranking it organically with on page + off page seo But it seems this process is slower and slower I have a new project a little less than 2 weeks old that's still seeing no traffic and very few impressions
I'm just pointing out that you could have promoted in smaller groups and less of them and potentially got a whole lot more traffic.

Every large authoritative site links out to other sites and its generally agreed on that linking out to relevant industry leaders on a topic can be positive for SEO.
