Totally agree. You can't beat some of the classics. I also recommend Bill Bly and Robert Collier.

Great thing to think about. Reminds us of the power of branding too. A lot of internet marketers are only focused on direct response and quick sales (which, don't get me wrong, is great) but nothing beats building a strong brand over time. Just look at Apple.

That's a great one. I like the Ogilvy headline: "At 60 miles an hour the loudest noise in this new Rolls-Royce comes from the electric clock" I also love his Hathaway ads, though I can't think of the particular headlines right now.

as long as the design doesn't get in the way of the copy, it's fine. At least that's how it seems to me.
