You can use facebook ad credits for the same page. The credit registers to the facebook user, not the page itself so as long as you are a manager on a page, you can put your ad credit toward it. You would need to have access to paypal / a credit card to redeem the credit on another facebook...

Not overly sure why he would want to buy it unless there is some blatant flaw you seem to be overlooking that he knows how to fix. And end game wise youd have to see if the time invested in your site to try and bring its ranking back up would be paid off by your increased revenue from the site...
