If you are keen on meshing all in one with google. Ie tying in G+ pages / Google image hosting / ability to use G+ comments within blogs id be going Blogger. That being said WP is easier to customise if you don't want to play around too much

looks like a great idea, I hope it goes well for you. I would tend to agree with the comment about viewers being turned off by forced sharing. Social trends seem to indicate people want things faster and for free ( even complaining about ads on free services ) - hard problem to crack :)

A decently spec'd i7 rig (or even just a genuine quad core) with NVIDIA CUDA graphics card is all you need. Can do everything on this setup that I need. I produce for web, TV and large event promotions (big screen features). Much cheaper than going the mac proprietary route.
