    directory or a subdomain

Hi dafoss Subdomains are treated as individual domains in their own right. That means that any links gained to the blog/forum on the subdomain wouldn't directly help to power up the main site and vice versa. I always opt for the directory setup over the subdomain one.

    Quick 301 Question

You shouldn't need to put up a site first, just 301 it in straight away. Be careful what links you build tho, coz the 301 will effectively pass all of those links straight onto your main site. You might be better off throwing a site up on the aged domain, put a link back to your main site and...

    Fiverr Customer Service

"Fiverr Customer Service" = biggest oxymoron ever. Unless you're a buyer. Then you can pretty much do what you like

[CASE STUDY] - Captcha Breaker VS Captcha Sniper

Interesting stuff man, cheers for sharing! It's hardly surprising that CB has the edge though when you think how much work the guys continue to put into developing and improving it

Unnatural links to your site—impacts links ANY EXPERIENCE?

That's basically it yeah. A 301 will pass PageRank and subsequently any associated penalty too, whereas a 302 wont pass either. Just make sure you check the domains out carefully before you decide to 301 them in, as any links they have will effectively be pointed straight at your money site. If...

Unnatural links to your site—impacts links ANY EXPERIENCE?

Hi Martin A 301 may pass the penalty (parhaps not so much with manuals but certainly with algo penalties), whereas a 302 will redirect visitors to your money site but won't pass the penalty through and will keep your money site safe. Of course you only need to do that if you actually care about...

    Anchor text over optimization question!

Everyone will likely give you differing opinions on that one. My personal preference at the moment is to have no more than 2-3% exact match max. To be completely honest, I'm mainly building branded and some generic or very long and broad anchors and relying on onsite elements to pick out the...

    SEO towards category pages

Hey brettehl You're spot on with your assumptions above; the link juice will indeed trickle down to the individual articles/products pages. The best way to think of it is probably to try and imagine how an "un-SEO-ed" site of a similar nature and purpose would look. If your category pages are...

    Anchor text over optimization question!

Yeah this is the kinda thing that's going to give you Penguin problems. Penguin works more on a page by page basis, so a page with 100% of its links being for over optimised commercial keyword anchor text is likely to cause you problems. I'd start trying to build out some branded anchors...

How to Scrape High PR Wiki Sites with "ScrapeBox"

Hey Imran It does take a little bit of leg work, but here's what you'll need to do: 1) Hit up the keyword scraper and go 3/4 levels deep on your keyword phrases to pull in as many relevant and related keywords as possible. The more words you include, the more results you're going to get back...

Unnatural links to your site—impacts links ANY EXPERIENCE?

It could well be. They seem to be infiltrating SAPE more and more. Not saying SAPE links don't work any more, you just have to be a bit more realistic about how you use them. Using them directly to a site that you care about as a long term project probably isn't the way to go (and hasn't been...

Unnatural links to your site—impacts links ANY EXPERIENCE?

That particular penalty is targeting specific links which G have found and taken a disliking to. It will devalue the links and hold back your rankings for that keyword because they will assume that if those links are manipulative then you are clearly going all out to rank for those particular...

Unnatural links to your site—impacts links ANY EXPERIENCE?

In my experience, although the links have been devalued and you don't need to take action as such, you'll find that the keyword phrases effected will be "capped" and you wont be able to rank higher for them until those links are removed and the penalty is lifted. So yes, they already don't...
