Because lazy ass parents just give their kids an Ipad and forget about them. They watch for 10+ hours, can't skip the ads, get hypnotized while their brains are dying.

This is kind of a depressing thread. As a child I used to love drawing and sketching but had many discouragements and unable to pursue it. Sad to know that some great talented artists who have dedicated 10-20+ years are still unappreciated/underpaid. But putting yourself in the client's shoes...

The price seems on the low side for quality writing, you can try fiverr etc. for not-so-good quality stuff for that price.

If this is true they would definitely pay higher than Youtube initially to attract content creators. It can break the monopoly and force Youtube to increase their shitty rates as well, they got inreasingly greedy over time.

I don't think writers should normally request this, but I also don't see the harm in doing so either.
