I honestly think this might be industry/niche specific + relevant to where you're trying to target. But every digital marketer I've met in person normally treats chinese/indian/russian backlinks like the plague.

If you have a solid strategy for targeting other platforms with wider user bases already, I'd say yes. If you're selling samples, loops or other music production related tools you might want to look into platforms that are dedicated specifically for that, though.
