Can reddit discussions help a brand appear more often in AI search results?

I have the opposite experience. My brand was mentioned over a thousand times in different threads over the course of a year, I got bearly a sniff in AI. Now those mentions have gone close to zero, and I've revamped my site, AI mentions have increased by several hundred percent.

AMA: I'm Quitting Reddit. Ask Me Anything You've been wanting to Know. 1 Question per Person

This is what drives me insane about Reddit, they want you to use ads, but the ad performance is shit becuse most people either have ad blocker or just scroll right past ads. I was using Reddit as a parasite, and I had a very lucrative year, now they've completely closed off that route for me...

AMA: I'm Quitting Reddit. Ask Me Anything You've been wanting to Know. 1 Question per Person

I don't think this is relevant anymore. We're now dealing with AI driven, sitewide moderation, with AI driven subreddit moderation underneath. These have been trained on billions of posts, spam posts, bot accounts, networked accounts etc, all those posts and patterns of behaviour are what it's...

How many have quit Reddit for marketing and/or a Hobby in the last few months?

I've quit now. The way I was marketing has been completely nerfed, and all the 'jUsT bE NaTuRaLz n FoLlOw RuLeZ' aint gonna work for my site, because I need to do it at scale. That scale got wiped out and aint coming back. It's forced me to make my entire site better, so I've been spending a...

    Testing Reddit's New Filters Together.

Nope, I don't think I will either. Time to move on to something else.

    Testing Reddit's New Filters Together.

It's Reddit's filters. They've had a huge update in the past couple of months. From what I can see, the auto mod for the subreddit bans posts if the user posting it has an account history of promo comments, low quality score, new account, broke subreddit's rules etc. If that gets missed then...

Is the Reddit End Near? AI Citation Drops, Google Deal, and Mass Account Bans

It sounds like you're making this post from 2025. It certainly was full of AI and spam, but they've really clamped down on it the past couple of months, and they've done so using ai themselves.

    Proper Reddit Marketing infrastructure

I know the feeling. It completly tanked my traffic and business, I need to find a whole new source now. I'll probably have to start buying ads.

    Proper Reddit Marketing infrastructure

Your setup was like mine. I had workers using their accounts to post for me, they all got wiped out in July. I can't find a solution to it, anyone else using a similar setup can't find one either, if they can, they aint sharing. I think it's cooked now. The only solution I can see is warm up an...

    All edited comments are removed!!!

Yeah that's another thing that changed, they didn't used to delete all posts associated with a banned account. When my worker got banned a month ago, I lost half my traffic overnight because all their posts got removed. The ones that still remain are from old accounts that got banned a year ago...

    All edited comments are removed!!!

It was an AI written response to the thread with a broken link in the text, written as website com.

    All edited comments are removed!!!

I had one worker dropping the same broken up link text over and over again, up to five times a day on the same account across many different subreddits. A few were removed but most remained. In retrospect I'm amazed I got away with it for so long, but I thought once someone gets banned I can...

    All edited comments are removed!!!

I mean, you have probably edited comments before, and now Reddit has noticed the pattern. Either way, Reddit has got better at detecting marketers, as per the quote I posted directly from them. My business got nuked after 18 months of free reign spamming. I can't even get a microworker to make...

    All edited comments are removed!!!

Reddit has really upped its game with spam detection now. Did the comments have similar content? Or did they all at least sound promotional? Have you been doing this for a while over the course of a few week/months? Either way, Reddit's filters have picked up a pattern and realised all those...

Some clarity on Reddit bans: IP types and browsers

Are you doing this all manually? When do you actually start making comments? Sounds like you're spending many hours a day on Reddit.
