The typical, Myspace. Haha, i soon gave up with it and moved to twitter, facebook and now instagram.

Try and get at least 1,000 real fans, and then you can add 5,000 fake fans and you'll still get likes.

Yeah that seems ok, im not really experienced in that myself but i'd do the same.

EDIT: Even if you tried to get/buy 10,000 followers you'd barely get any likes per photo which is more important.

It's not so easy, unless you have very good content.
