Yep, just be active across all the platforms you can. I have done plenty of work in industries where you can't do paid advertisting, it isn't easy, but it can be done ... content is king is what I always say.

Can guest posting do much for retail/ecom sites? That is my current project and trying to think of some other ways to help bolster up the site and its rankings.

I have an ecommerce site as well and find very little from LinkedIn, it is for older, professionals I feel I don't put a ton of time into it anymore. I tried for a while, but didn't get much from it so have moved on to other platforms.

I agree with just trying to reach out and ask places. You think it would never work, and while it is not 100%, people do seem to generally react well to an honest, human approach. Plus just as you are looking for links, other people are often looking for content as well so it can sort of go both...

Yeah, I wish backlinks could work in a week. Almost everything I do anymore after all these years is just do it, expect nothing and if you get something great, if not just keep doing it and eventually it all adds up.

I mean hootsuite was always the platform I've used over the years, seems to do just about everything.
