Someone gave you the explanation above. Right from ahrefs I agree with the concensus that ahrefs is better. I do like moz when looking for link opportunities, because their index is smaller, but seem to show the "higher quality" links. if you have to choose 1, I'd go with Ahrefs. Edit:spelling

Depends on how big your site is on that one. Op said big link lists, screaming frog is over 2x the cost of scrapebox if you want it to crawl over 500 pages. More than that if you factor in the yearly aspect. I guess you could do it in batches, but that sucks.
