A design magazine with 55.000 followers charges $100/tweet. Try to get some more followers and don't forget to add real useful tweets between promotional ones (1:10 to keep your followers)
1. As terrycody said, multiple pages rank for much more keywords.
2. Google loves content: good content, new content, big content. Especially new content. Your website will only benefit from regular content updates - they show, that it "lives".
Just optimize your template once and forever to prevent link bleed. Google crawler sees any page as pure HTML, so treat them as HTML - get rid of anything in your template that causes link bleed.
Just don't use keywords in your anchor texts - neutral phrases like "this site", your site name ("bhw") or just naked anchors will do. Google tends to penaltize keyworded links.
Anyway. those links will be nofollow. But there are plenty websites on any topic, that allow guest posting - you submit them your article and get a link in the article body or in the Bio section. You have to contact the owner first, but those links are much more valuable, than forum signature...
DA won't drop after you stop buying links - that's for sure. I've came across several totally abandoned (last post dated 2006-2011) websites with DA 80++.
$50-60 a day, 2500 visitors. I decided to concentrate on one blog and not to swarm PR0 useless domain plugs. And I'm planning to develop it further.
Back in 2011 I had a blog, that did $5 a day, but it was obviously not enough.
