I have taken all your critiques to heart and I am rolling out a new design. Please comment on this revision if you will. The adsense is performing well so far and I will like to keep it since adsense is my focus and it has paid me repeatedly. I still need to polish this design up but here it is...

From a design perspective it is a nice look but I guess the readability is questionable.

Can you expand on your comment regarding structure? I am not selling a product so there are no potential sales to be made.

That's just the advice that I was looking for. I usually go with a light color background and black text for this reason. When you build the website though you convince your own eyes that everything is fine...it looks tight! Of course it just ego and bias.
