unknownn, as i know you don't get banned for friend requests. After sending too many requests, you just temporary get this function blocked for 5-10 min, then you can send requests again. ekologic, lol yeah, i hate that too :)

150-200 a day, next day i unfollow those who are not following me, the day after that i follow 150-200 again
