optimizing the mobile site for seo is the same for desktop site, if you have a .mobi domian then the mbile searches finds it much faster if its searched by a mobile device.

buy a .mobi domain, and host it on your server, add the redirect codes from the desktop site to the .mobi. its what I do and works well.
