I would just go straight to a PBN from someone on here as that is still the quickest way to rank, not sure it is the right thing for someone who is inexperienced (if you are) to do yourself. If you feel that is waaaay too black, start building a few web 2.0s yourself on Wordpress, Weebly, etc...

I do all of mine manually and is the first thing I do when I start a new site. I just remove the code in the footer and replace with my standard wording which I have saved in Notepad.

I used to do this back in 2008/9. Not sure it has any relevance now apart from making your site look neater and adding emphasis to certain words. I haven't seen anything to suggest this still works and I have over 30 sites currently to test from.
