Are you sure you're not shadowbanned? In my experience, the moment you click on your profile on non-mobile and get a "Server error" (and no other errors/indications), it 100% means you're banned. Can't open the profile in another browser, and the appeals page is accessible.

I think because it's harder work. You can recycle an image and post it to a popular sub, buy upvotes for it, and then boom you have huge amounts of post karma. On the other hand, to have a good comment you have to find the right post (or seed it), and then slowly get upvotes on that comment. And...

From what I have personally seen, accounts with comment karma sells out very fast. I have seen multiple vendors here sell out aged + mixed (or mostly comment karma) sell out in matter of just a few hours. So perhaps what you're seeing is when there is low inventory/unwanted accounts?
