Could it be your message recipients reporting you? I have a recruiter send me four messages without a response to any of them from me, and on their fifth message I reported them because they were too annoying.

What is the purpose of having a verified LinkedIn profile? I haven't spent much time on LinkedIn so personally don't take any notice if someone is verified or not - are there benefits to it?
