For 99.99999% it is not the fault of Your computer or any software installed. You would have to be very unlucky to catch something that disrupts transfer of data as that mentioned By You.
Well if You want to add some text or anything to the video You will have to re-compress unless You're talking about some YT editor, but YES, You have to re-compress the video and to be sure, add something as 1 second to the end.
The video will work for 100% unless You are using some music/vid...
Renaming the file will do nothing, You must re-compress the video to change the hash calculation on YT.
YT is popular but it is poorly programmed, they can't even solve rewinding problem LOL :D
