@Lixin , here's an example of a local site doing really well. It's not strictly a directory (more a local area site with a directory) but should give you good ideas:

It's possible to find places that don't have local sites/directories and replicate. The...
Honestly the best advice is just to practice. Especially for local, the barrier to entry is so low. You don't need tens of thousands of words of content like with global/affiliate sites etc.
What are you aiming to achieve exactly? Is this for a particular business?
@RoiBox whenever I get some free time I've been toying about doing some wedding guides/directories for local places. Not to upsell web design etc. just to offer a better service than what's currently put there.
@Kiemash better still, use SEO to generate leads for sellers.

Good Twitter to follow for local SEO/GMB. You'll gain a lot of insight and knowledge reading through.
Hi everyone!
Apologies for the radio silence.
In the last few months I've had the opportunity to start working in the property sector (my main passion).
I'm working on a huge project/projects currently building out some software and doing a heap of data analysis. This has taken up all of...
New job board launched! EMD .co.uk
I shall be running ads soon, in the meantime I'm building out content. Full disclosure I have free access to the content tool (KWHero) and have generated/published ~10 articles so far and submitted site to GSC and linked up to a neat indexing/page monitor tool...
Good shout, taking a look at London and some UK places since I can make content easier here but might checkout some other US cities. Demographic/area change is something that absolute fascinates me, Brooklyn is a really interesting place to study in that respect. Yet it's mad how even in bad...
Appreciate the response, this test site was purely just curiosity mainly around hyper local content and virtually zero competition keywords (could I build local authority by targeting a micro neighborhood vs Brooklyn as a whole which is huge and competitive), is there any value in driving...
I've been absent from BHW last year and didn't do a heap of IM but this year I'm back, full of ideas and ready to hit the ground running. I really enjoy testing random stuff out and managed to run a few test last year. I'm here to expand on those and aim to test 1 new niche/idea out per week. I...
You can get 5-6% in a savings account right now. I'd likely save £750k. That's enough income to live on. Rest in stocks, real estate and IM. You could even spend £50k buying an existing online business then use that cashflow to invest in more IM projects.
Enjoying your thread, wish you the continued success.
Are you able to explain where you're putting your images in your articles? Or is it just random?
Thanks
