Skype is quite indispensable especially if you are looking to establish a business or a name online. You might want to start using it. Setting up an account is very easy. I talk to my clients mostly through Skype and email :)

It depends on my mood as well as on the complexity of the article, as some articles are more difficult to write. I once had to write 15 articles, 600 words each, and by the end of the day I felt as if I was mentally tortured hahahaha. I think 5 a day would be more manageable so it doesn't lead...
