yeah amazon puts a cookie in the browser of anyone that clicks your aff link and you get paid for every item that person buys within 24 hrs of clicking your link.
Does anyone know if blanking the ref for amazon makes your clicks not count as click on the order sheet but still gives you credit for purchases? My clicks went down a lot(I didn't switch all of my links) after I switched to blanking and now I'm getting 25%+ conversion compared to my old 6%.
Does anyone here know how the Amazon banning system works? I did some stuff that could get me suspended and I'm wondering how they'll go about it. Would they just ban instantly or wait until the day before payout? I don't want to keep promoting on this account if its going to be banned right...
I did a search for this and couldn't find any results. How do I sign up for stuff like FileIce and Blamads while I'm under 18? I don't want to enter fake information and end up getting myself/my family in trouble.
I read that you're supposed to backlink to a secondary site and have it forward the people who visit it to your main site so you don't get busted. I'm a noob though, so don't take that as a fact. I could be completely wrong.
I have another question and figured I'd post it in this thread to avoid spamming the forum. On my Amazon Affiliate thingy it says that I have 12 orders today but only 4 purchases. Does this mean that they refunded their purchases? Or maybe it waits for the item to be shipped before crediting me?
Thanks for the response. No, I have met the minimum. My state isn't allowed to participate in the program so I haven't set up payment information yet. I'm going to get a family member to help with that but I'm just wondering if I'll keep the money that I've earned before setting that up.
