Could be the quality of the backlinks. I lost rank last month and it came down to some spammy links from an autolinker. Manually check them. They may also have been changed to nofollow or disavowed by the other webmaster.

Don't. If you post or manage everything from one IP address it will be found by G. Use many IP addresses and identities to manage and post.

For goodness sake - Just google "html code image link" and follow the instructions. If you can't find Google, you're toast.
