I’d say quality filtering is the biggest bottleneck too. I usually narrow the list by niche relevance, traffic, backlink profile, and overall site quality first, then manually review the remaining domains.
Google-first makes sense for most sites, but I wouldn’t completely ignore Bing or other search engines. Once the core SEO work is done, submitting to Bing Webmaster Tools and checking the extra traffic is relatively low effort.
Crypto is competitive, so I’d start with a specific sub-niche and focus on building topical authority rather than covering everything. Publish useful, well-researched content consistently, then work on relevant backlinks and internal linking as the site grows.
Personal finance, SaaS/tools, digital marketing, and specific tech sub-niches are good evergreen options. I’d go narrow rather than targeting a broad niche, especially when starting from scratch.
For low-budget testing, I’d compare networks based on traffic quality and conversion rate rather than just cheap CPC. A lower CPC isn’t useful if the traffic doesn’t convert.
