This is something I've wanted to look into for myself, but never got around to it. Give me a couple days to look into it. I'll post my results here unless someone else who already knows posts first.

What state are you setting up the business in?

You are probably going to be liable for taxes too even if you are only contributing services. I would take volund's advice and consult a lawyer. If you don't have the funds, check with your local bar association to see if there is a clinic or non-profit in the area that helps with business startups.

Make sure you have the people that work with you sign a Non Disclosure Agreement. This won't prevent anyone from stealing your idea if they really want to, but it will help you build a case against them if they do.
