It will probably be popular for few more months, but I doubt they'll stay where they're now even if they add some new features.. Look at facebook (which is way bigger brand and broader niche), they're adding new stuff now more than ever, but they are still sinking because people got bored by it.

Instagram is a fad, it will go down because people will get bored by it, not because of spam..

They asked me that too, I've sent them legit docs and everything went well... I used legit info, but I don't think they actually get it verified by goverment (they replied that my info is ok in less than half an hour, I don't think they can verify it with gov that fast)
