Multiple sources I would suppose, these sites do a good job though domains listed as available do not always prove as such.

It depends what services you go for. Look for permanent links that would last you long enough instead of rentals and all. Guest posts, for example would not be removed if they were acquired from legit sites.

Do more to promote your brand, google places, local directories and other authority sites should be linking out to you. Do some press releases as well till Google realizes your brand does exist and its not a typing error from the part of searchers.

Dont worry about it mate, work towards getting real visitors and you'll be fine.
