IMO should be around 5% on average, but varies depending on niche. Usually the larger the following base, the lower the engagement rate.

You can check who you are following that isn't following you back on IG and unfollow those accounts

You can repost other people's content, but it doesn't hurt to tag them. Sometimes they'll reshare your post to their story
