lol, 50% isn't bad. The follow/unfollow is a strategy (discussed here) to increase followers. They are just hoping for a follow back and they just unfollow later.

Not sure about the description piece. My guess was that even if one of those accounts noticed it and liked it (because they or whoever was managing their account at the time was bored or something), it would get more attention?

Call me crazy but it's better to say "this sucks and here's a suggestion on how to fix it" instead of just "this sucks". One is trying to drive change; the other is just whining.
