You can't "embed" adsense into apps, but if the app is showing a (mobile version of a) webpage within a browser then that is allowed (however Goggles policies change like the wind, so don't take my word for it)

1) Create a useful app 2) Stick on goggle play 3) Wait for the installs (or pay for advertising to speed this process up) 4) Over time watch the installs increase and revenue move north Simplez!

Google does not allow that. You can't put the price up for any app if it was initially released as a free app. The only thing you can do is take the free app off the market and release a "pay for" version, but of course that means your install count goes back to zero! That doesn't stop you...
