To learn beowulf clustering. I am thinking about running something like folding@home to see how it runs and utilizes the spread processing. Just reaching out for ideas ;)

I have recently set up a small test beowulf cluster of 4 machines. Each has 2GB RAM and a Dual Core 2.0GHz processor and has Debian installed on it. What should I run on the cluster to test it out?

As has been said many times here, CPU and GPU Mining will never earn you $1/day. ASIC Miners can earn you about that, with a minor investment of about $100-200. I run 2 AntMiner 1's and net about $7/week. With a Laptop you will not do this at all.
