Yes bro I have seen this happen. What worked for me: I just kept publishing 2 new posts per week in the same cluster. Didn't change anything on the dropped pages. After 6-8 weeks they slowly came back to page 1. I think Google just needed more time + fresh content to trust the site again.

I use topic clusters bro. When I publish new content, I link it to 3-5 old posts in the same cluster. And I make sure the old posts also link back to the new one. This helped my authority flow a lot + users stay longer. For me this works better than just random relevance links.

I check GSC > Links > Top linking sites first. For broken backlinks I usually ignore them unless they are spammy. If spammy, I disavow them in GSC. If it’s my own broken internal link, I 301 redirect it. Hope this helps you.
