First off, don't think. Do some market research and get actual facts and figures. By speculating you're just risiking your money. Is the majority "children or teenagers" or not? If they are, what's the average age distribution? Depending on the data you've gained you could potentially make money...

Doesn't mean you can't make any money. Depending on the niche and the "intention blocker" you may resolve it and gain some juicy revenue. What is the issue? Are you trying to sell a product which will be primarily purchased by children? Is it an informative product? etc..

Same train of thoughts. After reading @PBNSurprise 's update, I highly doubt that there isn't any kind of catch. A product that seems untouched with a good amount of traffic and clear buyer intent is the holy grail of any e-commerce. Congratulations to OP if he actually found something :)

Depends on the age and individual preferences (in each life phase) I suppose. I know people who get along perfectly despite having 10yrs+ difference. In my opinion, from 20 (if both are) years old+ an age gap of 3-5 years doesn't matter at all. To keep it short: It wouldn't be a problem for me.
