It's been a while.
I've actually been having a series of crises regarding the journey and my personal life that began with my impromptu hospitalization. While I was in the hospital and recovering I kept studying, kept doing research. I realized that while I was happy and comfortable with my...
Another wrench in the works: I am only just now discovering that Amazon are quite strict in accepting new applications to the affiliates programme. I've read that fifteen or so articles are recommended before applying. As long as your site has value beyond peddling items to potential buyers, I'm...
I'm out of the hospital! There will be a big update tomorrow evening, hopefully the site will be live by then. For now I have a few little updates on what I've been doing while I've been recovering from illness.
1) Started setting up the layout of my sites. Harder to work with than I had...
Still alive. Ironing something out with my theme, Wordpress, and email support right now. Updates are technically being made on my sites but I'll save the details for when I'm able to get back to doing real updates.
Seriously, thanks man! A lot of good stuff in this post, really appreciate the wisdom you've shared here. Glad to know LongTailPro is slow for others, I thought something was wrong with mine. Now that I know that's just how it is, well, I can deal with it.
Thanks again and good luck to yourself...
Decided to give myself a few days off to recover from illness. Another important lesson to learn is when to take breaks, I suppose. Will be back to posting updates by the end of the week.
The way I see it is: People know Amazon. They trust Amazon. Therefore you don't have to deal with the hurdle of peddling a product others may not trust, let alone want to buy. Amazon converts because people know and trust the brand. That's what convinced me to go with Amazon, anyway. Good luck...
day thirteen
Busy day today tweaking themes and setting up my sites for content. I'm going to be splitting updates per site as of tomorrow's update, now that it's almost time for my sites to go live! Once the sites go live I will be adding expenditures and profits per post. Very excited to...
Thanks a lot for the encouragement! The prospect of failure is always unsettling to me, I know it's necessary though. It can teach some important lessons. I'll keep at it no matter what though.
day twelve
Took a day off today to prepare for tomorrow since it's the first day of a new week! Waiting on name servers to sync for newly purchased domains and all that. Making good use of the Amazon Best Sellers lists to figure out what and how many items to write about. I won't say how many...
day eleven
Started to work on content at last! Changing my niches helped out a lot. Feel a lot more inspired. These products are a lot easier to write about since it's just organizing information into review format. More research than anything. Now that I've started to write, I'm positive I can...
Yep, absolutely. It's one of my biggest hurdles. I'll watch the number of projects I take on to start with but I absolutely must have more than one ongoing project or the monotony will put me off entirely.
day ten
Slow day today. Not much to report.
All this about silo structures and SEO is going over my head. I'm going to need to invest in LongTailPro after all before I can really apply any of this to my sites since of course, it relies on keyword optimization. No problem though since I was...
day nine
A lot more thinking done today, a lot of research, very little hands-on work. I want to make sure I've made good choices regarding my niches and my keywords before I sink a lot of time and energy into making sites. I'm thinking about picking up LongTailPro but I want to catch it when...
I see, interesting! I know little about CPA. Might read up on it one day, seems like it's working nicely for you!
Thanks, love the avatar!
Haha yeah, gotta focus. I get excited easily, wanna try all these new things. Best of luck to the both of us.
