It does not provide SEO by itself, as there simply is no content. However, if you were to prolong the duration of the domain and start development, then getting rankings may be slightly easier (notice I said slightly, as it doesn't make a large change), due to the domain being around for a year now.

As stated previously if the uptime of the host is great, and it's efficient - then keep it all on that one host. If you need more disk space, bandwidth, simply just upgrade it. You would be more organized all in all.

It depends on what your needs are; there are many hosts with better quality and cheaper pricing than HG. However, HG is more well known, and is probably more secure.

You could buy a domain for $1 with GoDaddy for the first year, however I'd personally recommend Namecheap, as it'd be easier to navigate and work with. As for hosting, - woothosting - buyshared - spartanhost and honestly many more options.

I don't think anyone really buys a domain with bitcoin for anonymous reasons, as that's just silly. Bitcoin may just be the most viable option to pay with and so registrars offer it as a payment method. Some may use a false name, use a friends name to buy the domain, but that's a different...

It's just like .co where it's technically a gTLD, but it's used for businesses, startups and companies. People see .io as a startup type domain, and it shouldn't mess with SEO. .com would obviously be the best option, but .io is great as well.

Would honestly recommend GoDaddy, it's cheaper and more known. However, if you are willing to consider other options - I would suggest namecheap as it's the easiest to work with.
