In my experience there was no significant difference, had great results with both old and new channels. Perhaps slightly more with new channels but not a huge difference.

I always wanted to try it with translated content and something like Amazon Affiliates as that would be pretty easy to set up but I was a lazy fuck. Heard a few people made solid money this way.
