People should stop calling outreach and guest posting as white hat SEO. It's not, you're intentionally involved in acquiring those backlinks, and that's black hat.

White hat is when you're not involved in any link building efforts and just let them come naturally, so foundation link building already puts you over the edge. As for if they are worth it, personally, I think it's just BS and adding fluff for the sake of it.
You either pay with time or money, so all backlinks are paid. As for types: guest posts, PBNs, and some niche edits here or there. You don't really need anything else.
