you don't need to pay anybody to get verified!!!! just pitch a few articles as a "PR rep" about yourself but just don't say it's you. Write a wiki article about yourself. Then apply for verification
Honestly i think twitter would be better for what you're talking about--gaming niche etc. Instagram is more like a lifestyle magazine. Twitter is like an info hub where people go to talk and connect. So think of it that way.
