If they are Web 2.0 sites then you can send the links to an indexing service, or build more links to them yourself, or hire someone in the marketplace here to do a GSA blast for you. But it is harder to index these links these days so not all of them will index.

If your site is only a month old then you will have to have patience. Keep building content and links. Its impossible to say exactly how long it will take for you as it will depend on the competition you are facing, the amount of links and content you add, and the quality of those links and content.

A certain amount of reciprocoal linking I'm sure looks natural and not a red flag. Sites in the same niche often link out to each other. I'd save it for very good sites and keep it as a low % of your backlink profile.

Lazy people don't make money in internet marketing. If you're not interested in the niche then find a new one.
