Not really. This year BTC has gained a few hundred percent while LTC has gone up a few thousand percent. If both crashed back to their original values, which is still possible, then you stand to lose a hell of a lot more in LTC. I'm not saying LTC is a good or a bad investment, just a lot more...

Litecoin spiked to about $50 in late 2013 and quickly dropped back down to $3-$4 where it hasn't done much since until this year's spike in price. I wouldn't be surprised if it does it again. The fact that you would be pissed if you lost it also suggest this is a much too risky investment for you.

Looks like BTC may finally drop some. I don't know how much or how long it will take but I have buy orders at $3450 and $2850. I hope it makes it all the way back to $2850. My last significant entry was at $2550 so that would be pretty cool to get back in close to my last entry.

Actually bittrex has a total of 278 supported wallets and have been in business for about 3 years. It's a lot of supported currencies, but they aren't adding anywhere near 100 per day.

Solid advice. But with 125% gain in the last few weeks and sitting at a new all time high, I personally will wait for the price to fall before putting in more. The price always makes a big down swing after a big up swing in all markets.
