That's always a good start, getting generic traffic to an article is the best way to index quickly.
Just keep updating your site with minor changes over time so google knows you are an active site.

well if I were to use prime PERSONALLY i'd not drop-ship. I know a few sellers who have prime and use the Homestore method
Id ship myself a base-amount of product and just keep using the profit to order more.
Perhaps a few drop-shipped orders would be fine but honestly stay away from prime.
